Online Classes
As the world becomes more digital, typing has become the primary mode of communication and work. Learning to type efficiently allows students to interact with technology and integrate with their reading progress. While handwriting is still valuable for certain personal or creative tasks, typing is more universally practical, especially in educational settings, making learning a new language much more efficient.
CLASS A: for Grade 1 – 3 students.

Prerequisite: No prior knowledge of Pinyin and reading/writing required. Basic listening and speaking skills to understand the teacher’s instruction.
学生要求：拼音和中文读写零基础、具有一定中文听说能力。
Outcomes: Students will understand and use Pinyin inputs to type Chinese characters; recognize 80-100 characters, and 40-60 words; and type short sentences.
学习目标：学生将理解和使用拼音作为中文输入方法；认识80-100个汉字、40-60个词汇；打字输入简短语句。
Course Settings: 11 Course Meetings (10 classes+1 completion ceremony). One meeting per week. One hour per meeting. Meetings are conducted on ClassIn (free download).
课程设置：共十一次课（10节课程+1次结业仪式）。每周一次课。每次课一小时。课程使用ClassIn平台，可免费下载。
Course Time: 8PM-9PM EST, Wednesdays, from February 26 to May 7, 2025.

CLASS B: for 4 – 6 Grade students

Prerequisite: Understanding of Pinyin, with recognition of 150 characters.

Outcomes: Students will read and type Chinese sentences to communicate with each other in real-life situations; creatively write paragraghs under given themes and topics in typing format.
学习目标：学生生运用电写打字方式，用中文与伙伴进行交流，在实践中熟练掌握常见话题的表达。开展写作练习，给定主题或情境，让学生用电写方式完成语句和短文的输出。
